Trevor Montgomery – President, Watch Street Consulting

Watch Street Consulting was founded by Democratic political operative Trevor Montgomery. He decided to open a full service digital media company after seeing first hand the growing role that the internet is playing in the way campaigns engage voters and recognizing the need for Democratic campaigns to better utilize those tools.

Montgomery  is a veteran of the Iraq War where he served with the Illinois National Guard and a graduate of the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) where he studied political science. During his time at UIC, he served as undergraduate student body president and the founder of a student advocacy group. Through his initiatives in both organizations, he worked with members of the United States Congress and the Illinois General Assembly to advocate for increased funding to higher education and financial aid. Montgomery has testified in front the the U.S. Department of Higher Education on textbook affordability and he has spoken on student issues at Yale University’s Roosevelt Institute, the United States Student Government Association, and at student conferences around the country.

After UIC, Montgomery began his career as a political operative – working on a successful municipal campaign. Since his first campaign, he has been involved with dozens of campaigns and he has worked with clients in the public and private sector. While campaigning, he quickly realized the growing role that the internet was playing in the way campaigns communicate. In 2008, he started designing interactive websites and developing strategies to engage votes via digital media. Not long after, Watch Street Consulting was founded. Since then, Watch Street Consulting has provided new media strategy, website design, custom facebook pages, and campaign consulting to 100′s organizations around the United States and abroad.
